Its optical design features two FLD (F Low Dispersion) and two SLD (Special Low Dispersion) elements to correct chromatic aberrations, alongside three aspherical elements that ensure sharpness from edge to edge. Designed for hybrid creators, the lens features a fast and near-silent stepping motor that is fully compatible with Sony’s advanced Face and Eye-Detection AF. The lens is built with Thermally Stable Composite (TSC), a material that matches the thermal shrinkage of aluminum, ensuring consistent performance in varying temperatures while keeping the build lightweight. With Nano Porous and Super Multi-Layer coatings to minimize flare and a water/oil-repellent front element, this lens is ready for diverse shooting environments. Its impressive minimum focus distance of just 19cm at the wide end allows for creative close-up work with beautiful subject separation.
