The 24mm f/1.4 DG DN Art is an optical powerhouse featuring 17 elements in 14 groups, including two FLD, one SLD, and four aspherical glass elements. This arrangement provides surgical sharpness across the entire frame, even when shooting wide open at f/1.4. To maintain high contrast in difficult light, it utilizes Sigma’s Nano Porous Coating and Super Multi-Layer Coating, which virtually eliminate ghosting and flare. This lens is packed with specialized features rarely found in wide-angle primes. It includes a Manual Focus Lock (MFL) switch that fully deactivates the focus ring—a godsend for astrophotographers who want to set their focus at infinity and ensure it never moves. It also features both a 72mm front filter thread and a rear filter holder, allowing you to use a front polarizer while simultaneously using a rear gel filter for light pollution or soft-glow effects. The lens is built to professional standards with a dust and splash-resistant structure, a water-repellent front coating, and a customizable AFL button.
