A key feature of this lens is the Custom Switch, which allows the user to toggle the focus ring between controlling the focus (Mode 1) and controlling the aperture (Mode 2), with more functions available via firmware updates. The autofocus is driven by a quiet and fast Linear STM (Stepping Motor), making it fully compatible with Sony’s advanced Eye-AF and real-time tracking.
